Her track record includes:\n\n\n\n  Leading a complete agency reorganization while serving as the President and CEO of a large PHA.\n\n  Collaborating with community partners to reduce homelessness.\n\n  Spearheading affordable housing development activities at a large PHA and on the Mississippi Gulf Coast after Hurricane Katrina.\n\n\n\nIn January 2023\, Demetria joined the Town of Apex as Assistant Town Manager\, bringing her wealth of knowledge to local government. She holds a B.S. in Community and Regional Planning from the University of Southern Mississippi and attended Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government's Executive Program. Her dedication to affordable housing has earned her numerous awards\, including recognition by Glamour Magazine as one of the "50 Phenomenal Women Making a Difference."\n\n\n\nWhen she's not shaping the future of housing\, Demetria enjoys spending time with her family\, including her three sons\, two daughters-in-law\, and three grandchildren.
