Announcing the 2024 Congressional App Challenge

On May 1, The Office of Congresswoman Deborah Ross announced the 2024 Congressional App Challenge – one of the most prestigious competitions for middle and high schoolers in computer science. North Carolina’s Second District joins hundreds of other districts and thousands of students nationwide in this exciting event.

Established by the U.S. House of Representatives in 2013, the Congressional App Challenge invites middle and high school students from across the country to develop an innovative app for a mobile device or computer. This competition aims to introduce students to the world of app development, welcoming participants of all coding skill levels.

Event Details
From May 1st to October 24th, Congresswoman Ross will be hosting the Congressional App Challenge for middle and high school students in NC-02 (covering most of Wake County). The Challenge encourages critical thinking and creativity, regardless of prior computer science experience.
