Town of Zebulon Hires Kellianne Williams as Assistant Town Manager

 
Zebulon, NC – The Town of Zebulon has hired Kellianne Williams to serve as Assistant Town Manager, the first permanent Assistant Town Manager in Town history. In this role, Kellianne will support the Town Manager in short- and long-term strategic planning and visioning, help manage critical infrastructure projects for the Town including construction of the new fire station, and evaluate and assess organizational needs such as staffing, training, policies, and project management.
 
“We’re proud to have Kellianne Williams join our team as our first permanent Assistant Town Manager and help guide Zebulon’s bright, promising future,” said Taiwo Jaiyeoba, Interim Town Manager for the Town of Zebulon. “Kellianne has a proven track record of success, playing a pivotal role in projects like the revitalization of Downtown Wilson and the Beal Street Square and Ravenwood Crossing affordable housing developments in Rocky Mount. As Zebulon continues to transition and grow, I’m confident Kellianne will be an impactful, transformative leader for our employees, our residents, and our community.”
 
Kellianne comes to Zebulon from the City of Rocky Mount where she served as Assistant to the City Manager for Strategic Initiatives, advising the City Manager and collaborating with city staff on major economic and community development projects.
 
“As a career public servant and resident of Zebulon, I am honored to serve as Zebulon’s first permanent Assistant Town Manager and work with the Town Manager and Board of Commissioners to achieve their vision for the organization and our Town,” said Kellianne Williams, Assistant Town Manager for the Town of Zebulon. “Good governance starts by listening to the people we serve and that’s exactly what I intend to do as I step into this role. I look forward to meeting my fellow neighbors and residents over the coming months and working to ensure Zebulon is always a place people want to call home.”

Kellianne Williams – Biography

Mrs. Kellianne Williams holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from High Point University and a Master of Public Administration degree from East Carolina University. She most recently served as an Assistant to the City Manager for Strategic Initiatives for the City of Rocky Mount, NC. Her role included advising the City Manager on major economic development and community development projects and collaborating with city staff to achieve those projects. Kellianne has also served as a Senior Economic Developer – Commercial at ElectriCities of North Carolina where she worked on marketing business opportunities in public power communities and assisting with commercial development projects throughout the Triangle region and eastern North Carolina. Prior to her work with ElectriCities, Kellianne held integral management roles in downtown development, business development, and community development for the City of Wilson and the City of Rocky Mount.

Kellianne is recognized as an energetic leader and has been personally and professionally focused on neighborhood redevelopment, downtown revitalization, small business development, and the attraction and retention of young professionals. While working towards each of these outcomes, Kellianne enjoys building impactful relationships and remains passionate about keeping equity and inclusion at the heart of her work
